Announcement

After almost four years of runtime, it's time for The Good Blood to take a break. The scale of the comic keeps growing and the weekly uploading schedule is no longer a viable option without sacrificing quality. And I'm not going to do that. This means that from now on, the story will be published in complete chapters instead of page-by-page.

It's something I've been planning for a long time but didn't expect to do quite so early. However, reasons started mounting up. This comic has completely consumed more than half a decade of my life and, while it was very rewarding process that made me a much better artist, it was also an extremely draining and lonely experience that negatively affected almost all other aspects of my life. Thus I'm taking a much needed breather to reassess my plans moving forward and make room for other things I wanted to do.

All that said, the work on the comic continues. I remain fully committed to see the story through and now that I have more time to work on each page, I also plan to make it better than ever. So think of this more as an end of season more than anything else. I'm pretty sure there will be changes to how the chapters are published, but I haven't made concrete decisions on this yet, we'll see.

If you want to stay up to date with everything, I encourage you to check out the project's Patreon. It is currently paused as I work to readjust it to the new workflow, but it will be the best place to see the earliest new TGB content and more. The Discord server is also a good way to stay in touch. Lastly, if you have any suggestions, questions or anything else, you can contact me directly at author@tgbcomic.com

A big thank you to everyone who's been reading the comic. I'm grateful for every little comment and word of encouragement I've received along the way. Thanks to those who popped on to discord and to the translators for their work. I know that it wasn't a perfect point in the story to break at, but I hope that what comes after will be worth the wait.

See you soon
